Tour of 4 days: Valley of thousand kasbahs – Dades valley – Todra valley – Sand dunes of Erg Chebbi – Draa valley – Ouarzazat
|Day 1: Ouarzazat – Skoura- Kelaa M’Gouna – Roses valley – Dades valley – Todra valley
After breakfast we depart from Ouarzazat towards the Roses valley, also called the ‘road of the thousand kasbahs’. We pass along the palm groves of Skoura and the town Kelaa M’Gouna known for its annual roses festival. In the afternoon, we have lunch in the beautiful, green Dades valley and we will continue our trip towards the Todra valley, where we will have dinner and spend the night.
|Day 2: Todra valley – Meski
After breakfast we make a walk through the beautiful green Todra valley. After lunch we go to Meski, a small oasis village, where we visit ‘la source bleue’. The source is a wonderful natural spring which is named after the “blue men” who camped at this place. In front of the spring, there is a pool where we can have a swim. Afterwards we make a wonderful walk through the palm groves and visit the local kasbah.
|Day 3: Meski – Merzouga – sand dunes of Erg Chebbit
From Meski we head off to the rolling sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. We drive through the Ziz valley to Merzouga, a small town on the edge of the desert. There we leave the 4×4 behind and we continue our way into the desert on the back of a dromedary. After a beautiful sunset, we sleep in nomad tent under the stars.
|Day 4: Sand dunes of Erg Chebbi – Draa valley – Ouarzazat
After an unforgettable night in the desert, we return with the dromedaries back to Merzouga. We have breakfast and a refreshing shower before we take off to Ouarzazat. Along the way we traverse the beautiful Draa valley with its green palm groves where we stop for lunch. By the early evening, we are back in Ouarzazat.
